John 3:17-18
If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth

Ministry 180 is the umbrella ministry that houses all social outreach programs at Riverside C.W.C. dedicated to transforming lives through the dynamic power of Jesus Christ and the generous donation of time, talent, and finances of the Riverside Church family.

The vision of Ministry 180 is to help people locally and globally who are down and out make a 180 degree turn in their lives and get back on track.  We recognize that many individuals and families are hurting and struggle both personally and financially. Many people cannot even provide their most basic needs, including food, clothing, and shelter.

Ministry 180 serves as a beacon of hope for all people helping them with these basic needs, as well as their spiritual well being.  We are here to throw life lines, and we ask nothing in return.  We plant the seed, water it, and watch God make it grow!

Riverside recently made a donation in support of the victims of the Storms which devastated many places in Alabama, a $150.00 donation was made to help in some small way the recovery efforts that continue to go on in Alabama.

Below are picturers of Riverside at The Friendship Community Center in Augusta, Ga. Riverside donated over 100  items of clothes to the Frienship Community Center, collected over 20 Cell phones for donation to Safe Homes of Augusta, and collected over 30 shoe boxes for The Senior Citizens Council of the CSRA.

At the very bottom of the page are Pastor Thompson and First Lady Thompson along with a friend from the combined Federal Campaign conference. Pastor Thompson and First Lady Thompson were able to take part in a community service Project in New Orleans, Louisianna, helping to rebuild the home of Mrs. Molly Bulter who was a victim of hurricane Katrina. Mrs. Butler has since been able to move back into her home, thanks to the efforts of Pastor and First Lady and countless other volunteers. Please click on the video to watch as we helped rebuild/remodel Mrs. Butler's home.

Riverside continues to fulfill its mission of being a visible and vocal advocate for social commitment and justic within our community.
