Pastor E. B. Thompson was raised in Montevallo Alabama and met his wife, Valerie, while  attending Stillman College, they were married in 1988. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and Filled with the Holy Ghost while attending Emanuel Temple Pentecostal Holiness church in Alabaster Alabama. He was licensed by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (P.A.W. Inc.) and was ordained by Bishops World ministries. He has served as the Senior Pastor of several congregations both nationally and Internationally to include Frison Chapel; Highland Alabama, St. James; Columbiana Alabama, Christ Temple Apostolic; Hanau Germany, and has served as the Pastor and Founder of Riverside Christian Worship Center of the Apostolic Faith here in Augusta Georgia since January of 2000. Pastor Thompson has a Dynamic ministry and hosts a "Two becoming one” Conference each year in Augusta. They have three children, Ashley Michelle, Elvin Blake Jr. and Tierra Renee. Pastor Thompson is committed to passionate preaching and social out reach. His burden for discipleship, mentoring, and developing servant-leaders are evident in the life of Riverside where he serves as the senior Pastor. On 1 December 2008 Pastor Thompson was chosen by God to become the General Overseer of the Fellowship of Independent Apostolic Ministries.
